Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus 519 BCE to 430 BCE - A wealthy Roman noble and statesman that served on the Roman consul. Cincinnatus lost most of his wealth to pay for crimes committed by his son. This forced him to sell most of his lands and was left with a small farm. He later was called to be the Roman dictator after Rome fell into a conflict with some of the surrounding tribes. After he finished his term as dictator he promptly resigned his post an went back to his farm.
