Mark AntonyMarcus Antonius 83 BCE to 30 BCE - A Roman politician and general that was a supporter of Julius Caesar. After the death of Caesar he joined forces with one of Caesar's generals, Marcus Lepidus, and Octavian, Caesar's adopted son. Together they formed the Second Triumvirate, which defeated the opposition responsible for assassinating Julius. Rome was divided among the three, Antony receiving the Eastern provinces, including Egypt. Mark Antony was also known for his love affair with the Egyptian Queen, Cleopatra.
