Chandragupta II The Great 364 CE to 415 CE - A member of the Gupta Dynasty and one of the most powerful emperors of Northern India. Under his reign he continued the expansion of the empire, pushing into Persian territory and even across the Himalayas. Chandragupta showed great support for the arts and it was considered a Golden Age for Indian culture.
