Shapur IIShapur II the Great 309 CE to 379 CE - A member of the Sassanid Dynasty that ruled the Persian Empire. Shapur's rule saw a great resurgence of Persian culture, and is considered a Golden Era. He fought many battles against the Romans, and gained a considerable amount of territory from those conquest. He died leaving Persia stronger than before, with more land and secured borders.
