Marcus Cocceius Nerva Caesar Augustus 30 CE to 98 CE - Nerva was a career politician. Most of his life he served as consular to the Emperors of Rome. His skill as a diplomat and strategist kept him close to the imperial circles. After the assassination of Domitian, the Roman Senate declared Nerva emperor.
