Sesostris I 2000 BCE to 1926 BCE - The son of Pharaoh Amenemhat I and second pharaoh of the Twelfth Dynasty. Senusret wielded his power to expand Egypt further into Nubian territory. He also ordered major building programs throughout Egypt and established diplomatic ties with rulers in Syria.
